For too long, survivors of sexual assault and harassment have been in the shadows. We have been afraid to speak up, to say ‘Me Too’ and seek accountability. For many, the consequences of doing so have been devastating, said Tarana Burke, founder of the #MeToo movement
So how can one help? Well for starters always treat others the way you would like to be treated yourself. But you can also join the #meetoo hack in Gothenburg, Sweden. the 3rd of february 2018!
What is #MeToo Hack?
A one day event where 10 teams of people prototypes and builds digital products that in some way could make a difference in the area of sexual abuse and harassment and overall sexual integrity.
Isn’t hacking illegal?
Hacking is here by no means referring to the illegal art of penetrating computer systems :). By “hacking” we mean thinking outside the box, rapidly prototyping creative solutions (that might not always be production grade).
So why is this important
because who want to live in a world where abuse is accepted, no matter who is the abuser!
