Rider vs Visual Studio

Rider vs Visual Studio

I have been developing professionally using Visual Studio since 2003 and I love it. I have always claimed it is the best IDE ever made! However I decided to give Jetbrains Rider a spin and see if it could be an alternative.

Going Retro

Going Retro

I love playing games, however I find myself shorter and shorter of time to actually sit down and play the games I purchase. most of them takes a serious amount of effort to complete. I am also in to all things retro (stuff from 90’s and earlier) and after reading Ernest Cline’s “Ready Player One” I got the urge to play some of the games I grew up with.

In these files you where presented with some very sophisticated (and some less sophisticated) ASCII art

#MeToo hack follow up

#MeToo hack follow up

So on the 3rd of February the #metoo hack kicked off with a one-day event to formalize ideas that by the use of technology will help to prevent discriminations in society. It was a great day and it was inspiring to hear about all the different ideas that ranged from a voice analyser that will analyse who talks (most) in a meeting, to chrome plugin for unbiased recruitment, to corporate manuals and our own submission a bot to report incidents.

Azure Resource Group Projects in Visual Studio 2017

Azure Resource Group Projects in Visual Studio 2017

I am a public transport commuter so I have about 30 minutes each journey on a bus every day. This is an ideal time to do some learning. currently I am hooked on Scott Allen’s series on Azure. This list loads of great tips for a developer! Currently I learnt about Azure Resource Group projects for Visual Studio 2017.
